So I got ticket for my window tint and apparently there is no deal with the da for that and now I have a court date. What would be the next logical step?
These violations do not appear on a driving record so typically not worth litigating. If the court is far from you and the court will allow you to plead guilty by mail then I would just do that if I were you.
Typically if you have the tint removed and have proof of it, the Prosecutor will tell the Judge that it has been taken care of and you wont have to pay the fine, but in order to do that it would require an appearance in Court. Did you send the ticket in Not Guilty? It seems like you probably did if you received a court date. You could always change your plea to guilty and just pay the fine through the mail and never have to go to Court. They dont make you remove the tint by doing that and its a no point violation on your license.
