I was wondering if I received a ticket nearly one year ago and was able to get the PJC. I just recently got another ticket fot going 15 over same as before. So I was wondering, would I be able to keep that if i can get this citation lowered to 9mph?
The rule in NC is that, with a 3-year clean record, you can get ONE ticket for 9 over (and less than 75) every three years and it will not cause your insurance to go up. If you get another within three years, you can use a PJC to keep that one off your insurance too. If you do it “backwards” and use the PJC first, don’t worry; the reduction rule still holds. You can have the 2nd ticket reduced to 9 over and no insurance consequences will follow. Order doesn’t matter.
