After a rear end collision caused by traffic going down on a hill, I was issued a citation for careless driving. The sheriff spelled my last name incorrectly as in completely wrong when I pointed out to him he said to call and the county clerk would call him to verify and then it would be removed. This occurred in St Johns county Florida. What are my options?
You have 3 options:
- elect a traffic school and pay a fine. Taking the traffic class will make sure you do not get points on teh license and potentially increase your insurance rate.
- simply pay the fine – this will lead to points as this is a moving traffic violation. insurance rates may jump
- hire an attorney/ set the case for a hearing to challenge the citation. Moses and Rooth Attorneys at Law 115 Granada Court Orlando, Florida 32803 407-377-0150 https://www.mosesandrooth.com/
