Hi There i wanted to get some info on a court case coming up on Friday. I was offered a plea bargain that is completely way over unfair based on my charge… I would like to make a decision on whether or not I should take the unjust bargain or just go for trial instead?? The decision to try a case or to accept a plea really is all about weighing costs/risks v. benefits. That is, will you probably be convicted? What is the state’s case like? Is it strong? Is there a lot of evidence against you? What is the plea deal like? Is it a much better deal for you than what would happen if you get convicted? No way to answer all this without more info….
