I got a ticket back in August 2016 which I’ll be going to court for this Friday. It’s a speeding citation for doing 9 mph over in a 35 in Cabarrus county in NC .I believe my chances are pretty good as I’ve only lived in this state for four years and this is my first citation ever received. I’d just liket o know your thoughts on the situation if u dnt mind.
You can just pay it as it is (I assume it’s an “ordinary” ticket and not a school zone etc). The NC Safe Driver Incentive plan allows you one for 9 over every three years (less than 75 mph also) without your insurance going up. You’ll see a couple license points but they don’t mean anything for insurance purposes for this first ticket. You might also ask the DA for an improper equipment instead. That’s not even a moving violation. No points and no insurance increase.
