I was stopped for going 90 in a 60 and I missed my court date more than 30 days ago. What can I do?
It really depends on where you are (state, county). Generally I can say that when you miss a court date, notice will be send to the DMV and -eventually- your license will be suspended until the ticket is dealt with. I would be a little concerned that because your speed was so high it might be that a bench warrant is issued (meaning you may be subject to arrest). That would be dependent on how that particular violation is handled in your state. Can you give me more info? As for the speeding itself, in many cases the DA can offer a reduction in the speed enough to keep your license from being revoked or even from having your insurance go up but, again, that’s all a function of state law and I’d really have to have more info to respond.
