Rear end acident in Greenville

Guy hit me at the stop light not far from my house. He wasn’t gping really fast but he made it so my car had to be towed (his car seemed ok). Anyhow… the cop gave him a ticket for the accident and gave me a ticket for having an expired license. I didn’t go to the hospital or anything but now I have neck and back pain (a week later). I need to know if I have a personal injury case and what I need to do about my license. My wife had a charge like that and she never had a lawyer she just went to court with her new license and they threw the case out.
