I caught a dui in IL, But I Live In IA
Had A Paid Attorney.. Missed Court Twice Due To Family And Car Problems.. But My Lawyer Appeared For Me…The Second Time I Did Not Appear The Judge Issued a Warrant For My Arrest…My Lawyer agreed to my case for $900. After I received the warrant my lawyer told me to come and take care of it immediately..and also that he would need $3000 And He Did Not Know What My Bond Would Be ??? It Was No Way In God’s Name I Had That Much Money To Give Him …So I Asked What Can We Do Becasue I Don’t Have That Much ….Only Thing He Told Me Was They Are Trying To Put You In Jail Anthony !!!

Absolute best thing, I believe, is to call your attorney (since you paid him) and ask him for specific advice. It’s not clear from your q exactly what’s going on. It may be that the case can be reset for trial (or some disposition) and the OFA recalled. I’m not sure since I do not practice in Cook Co Il, but Wake Co NC. But that’s what’s I’d say. You paid good money for that atty to represent you, you should be able to go to him and get specific answers about what the situation is EXACTLY and what needs to be done next. I should think he’d know much more than other attorneys who participate on this forum. Best,
