I entered a left turn only lane attempting to turn left but at the last moment decided to turn right back to 3rd avenue because I needed to make the next left. Then I was instructed to pull over and was served. (Ticket might have errors) not sure. Can I just pay this? I really don’tneed my insurance getting jscked up….
You can also plead guilty and pay it. Insurance companies generally will only raise rates for excessive speeds, DWI-related offenses, and repeated mobile phone tickets. You may also have your premiums raised if your license is ever suspended/revoked as a persistent violator.
The real advantage to hiring counsel is that we can often successfully adjourn cases for long periods of time. While the case is pending, your insurance company is not yet aware of the ticket. If/when you are convicted, the points are attached to your license as of the original violation date, and not the date of conviction. This means by the time your insurance ever becomes aware of the ticket, it is already “old” and the duration for which it will have any effect is reduced significantly.
Good luck.
