I’m writing to see if BernieSez is available in New York. I’m also writing to see if it is available for law students in addition to lawyers. Specially, we may have a group of students are our school (NYU School of Law) who would be interested in representing clients pro bono for small matters. Please let me know if this is an opportunity BernieSez is interested in.
Thanks for your interest! Well, yes and no to your question. BernieSez is available in all states for folks to post their cases and interact with lawyers. As for whether students can use the system, the way it’s set up only lawyers admitted to the bar can sign up to vet cases. If you are working with a lawyer or law school we’d love to talk with them about setting up some collaboration.
