Hi, sorry I was probably confusing, I am still living with my boyfriend and it is Not a good situation and I am moving but wanted to as a lawyer that specializes in domestic cases if their are any forms I can show the local sheriff the day I move so that I, ( and my moving company cannot be escorted off of my boyfriends property before the movers r done loading all my stuff up. I do not pay him rent but I pay his power bill and can prove ( car registration, etc) that I have lived at the address for over a year!. Thank you for your time
Take a look at my previous answer to this. You need no documents to lawfully remove what is yours. If he later complains to the cops that you took his stuff then the chips fall where they may. Lots of cops will simply call it a civil matter however (in my experience) and the only thing the guy can do is file like a small claims action to get it back. If you plan on leaving with a car that’s in his name or other “titled” things that bear his name, I’d say you may be on thin ice. But as far as stuff like lamps and TV’s and the bookshelf by the window, if it’s yours, take it.
